About Chardham Yatra Kedarnath by Helicopter

The Char Dham Yatra, also known as the Chota Char Dham Yatra, is a pilgrimage circuit in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It consists of four sacred Hindu sites: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. These four sites are located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, nestled amidst the majestic Himalayas.

  1. Yamunotri: This is the source of the Yamuna River and is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. The temple here is situated at an altitude of 3,293 meters (10,804 feet) above sea level.

  2. Gangotri: It is the source of the Ganges River and is dedicated to Goddess Ganga. The temple here is located at an altitude of 3,100 meters (10,200 feet) above sea level.

  3. Kedarnath: This is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. It is situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters (11,755 feet) above sea level.

  4. Badrinath: This is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the 108 Divya Desams. It is situated at an altitude of 3,133 meters (10,279 feet) above sea level.

The Char Dham Yatra is considered highly auspicious by Hindus, and pilgrims undertake this journey to seek blessings, cleanse their sins, and attain moksha (liberation). The yatra usually begins in late April or early May and continues until the onset of winter around October or November. It attracts thousands of devotees and tourists each year, making it one of the most significant religious and tourism circuits in India.
